Abstract

A small light optical head suitable for quick random access and fast data rate is required to widen the application of optical information storage equipment. In the optical head, it is important to assemble compactly a laser diode (LD), optical devices, and mechanical components, which are necessary to perform focusing, radial track-following, and beam accessing.
