Weakly guiding semileaky thin-film isolator with a form-birefringent top layer

Abstract

In the past several attempts have been made to reduce laser destabilization due to optical feedback. One possibility is to place an optical isolator between laser and fiber to suppress reflections from the end of the fiber. Solutions with bulk materials have been proposed.1
