Abstract

We have demonstrated previously the operation of a pulsed 10-atm rf-excited CO2 waveguide laser1 and continuous frequency tuning between line centers.2 The tuning range was limited by the available rf pump power to 300 GHz (10 cm−1) in the R branch at 10.4 μm. The output linewidth was measured with a grating spectrometer to be <3 GHz (0.1 cm).
