Abstract

The pulsed YAG laser has two remarkable characteristics: its high peak power and the availability of the quartz optical fiber for laser power transmission. Owing to these characteristics, pulsed YAG lasers have been widely used for welding, cutting, drilling, and other kinds of machining.
