Abstract

We have carried out experimental tests and numerical analysis of a newly developed electron-beam-pumped KrF laser system shown in Fig. 1, which consists of a high-beam quality oscillator and high-pumping density amplifier with an active volume of 8 liter. We obtained a pulsed energy output of 100 J of 100-nsec duration with an intrinsic efficiency of 12% by optimizing the parameters for maximum output.
