Abstract

The band transport model of the photorefractive effect¹ predicts, in the absence of externally applied electric fields, a simple exponential time dependence for the growth or decay of optical nonlinearity. A recently reported² simplified model for the effect describes this dynamic behavior in terms of normalized dimensionless parameters.
