Abstract

Photothermal (PT) methods rely on the detection of heating due to optical absorption in a sample. These methods include photoacoustics (PA), calorimetry, thermal lensing, probe beam refraction, probe beam deflection, reflectivity, and radiometry measurements as affected by the modulated PT heating.
