Abstract
Recently, It has been shown theoretically and experimentally that unstable resonators coupled with variable reflecting mirrors1,2 can extract filled-in pattern beams. However, the structure of such variable reflecting mirrors is complicated, and moreover it often results in variable phase distortions of the extracted laser beams.3 We report on constructional principles, simulation, and experimental results of a novel unstable resonator that can generate a uniphase beam in a filled-in pattern by the use of a phase-unifying coupler.
