Abstract
Advanced system for high-power UV-radiation application (ASHURA) is a prototype KrF laser system which sets the guiding principles in the development of an efficient and compact fusion-driver. Key issues of the project are to increase the efficiency of amplifiers, evaluate pulse compression schemes, and investigate target interaction with a 2-20-ns UV laser pulse.
