Abstract

Fiber-optic sensors which do not rely on referencing output intensities to input intensities have distinct advantages. Although many types of fiber-optic sensor system are presently being developed,1 a number do not have the advantage. We report on two types of fiber-optic sensor which do have this independence provided by sensor materials we specifically developed for these applications.
