Abstract

The traditional use of laser spectroscopy is to provide information on the internal Hamiltonian of the system. However, the measurement of relaxation phenomena provides information on both conformational changes and how the system interacts with its environment. In recent work, we have shown that frequency-domain four-wave mixing (FWM) is capable of measuring all the relaxation rates associated with simple resonant systems.
