Abstract

Ultrashort optical signal processing via parametric interactions has been substantially improved by using organic crystals such as NPP [N-(4-nitrophenyl)-L-prolinol].1-4 We present new results focused on parametric amplification and emission in two successive NPP crystals, in which the amplified or emitted IR beams from the first sample are subsequently amplified and analyzed by the parametric amplification sampling spectroscopy (PASS) technique in the second one.
