Abstract

Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) phase conjugate mirrors have been used to improve the output of KrF lasers.1 We describe here the application of a phase conjugate mirror to the Aurora inertial confinement fusion (ICF) laser system. We believe this to be the first practical application of phase conjugating elements to a large laser system.
