Analytical model for the XeF(C—A) excimer laser amplifier

Abstract

Among the rare gas monohalide excimer molecules, the XeF(CA) excimer transition is unique due to its exceptionally broadband fluorescence spectrum in the blue-green. Such a XeF(CA) laser has been efficiently tuned with a narrow spectral width (0.001–0.01 nm) using injection control.1 Since the laser was pumped by a short pulse (10 ns) and high-current-density (>200-A/ cm2) electron beam, temporal buildup of the optical field is of significant importance.
