Abstract
A fluorescent lidar was assembled using a Nd:YAG third harmonic at 355 nm as the exciting source. The Quanta Ray DCR-1A laser produced a pulse duration of 5 ns and pulse energy of 124 mJ/pulse at a 10-Hz rep-rate. This output radiation was projected by means of dielectric mirrors mounted in a steerable turret.
