Abstract
Understanding and being able to predict accurately the performance of e-beam pumped KrF lasers have been critical for the inertial confinement fusion (IGF) effort. Reliable KrF kinetics models are needed to assist in the design of large scale IGF systems. At Spectra Technology, Inc. (STI), e-beam pumped KrF laser experiments have been recently performed on the Tahoma device to provide data for the computer model development occurring at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
