Abstract

Preliminary human therapy of laser coronary angioplasty has been reported both with open heart and transluminal catheterization. However, there are many problems to solve. Particularly, a vascular perforation caused by false direction of laser irradiation to the normal vascular wall is a major problem of this therapy.
