Abstract

Interest in upconversion lasers has recently resurged as these can develop into a new class of visible emitting solid state laser. Upconversion lasers emitting red, green, and violet have been reported.1-3 We recently reported a new upconversion Tm3+:YLF laser that emits blue light.4 New data and analyses of this upconversion laser are presented.
