Abstract

The XeF(C➙A) laser is a broadly tunable electron-beam excited high energy excimer laser operating in the blue-green region of the spectrum. Using the output of an excimer pumped dye laser as an injection tuning source, the XeF(CA) laser has demonstrated a spectral tuning range from the blue region of the spectrum at 440 nm to the green region at 530 nm.1 Energy extraction of 1.5 J/liter with 1.5% conversion efficiency has been achieved; values have been scaled from a 0.02-liter laser2 to a laser with a volume of 0.6 liter with no loss of efficiency.1
