Abstract

An all-solid-state, cw Ti:Al2O3 laser has been demonstrated. The pump source was a diode-laser-pumped, frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser. Here we describe results obtained with both standing-wave (sw) and ring resonators. The latter is a tunable, single-frequency source ideally suited for injection seeding.
