Abstract
Deuterated l-arginine phosphate (d-LAP) has received considerable attention as a new efficient nonlinear material. It has an effective nonlinear coefficient 2-5 times higher than KDP, high damage threshold, and can be readily grown in large sizes with good optical quality. The deuterated variety, with its low absorption from 300 to 1130 nm, has potential in optical parametric oscillator applications.
