Abstract

Recently, the laser irradiation uniformity for direct-drive laser fusion has been studied by several authors.1–5 Nonuniformities of the ablation pressure on the spherical target surface should not exceed 2 - 3 % for efficient core plasma formation, so that the very uniform irradiation must be obtained on the spherical target surface.
