RF-excited CO2 phase-locked laser array using diagonal coupling of waveguide channels

Abstract

Phase-locking techniques currently popular for diode lasers have been paralleled by similar developments for RF excited CO2 waveguide laser arrays.1,2,3 Effective locking requires controlled energy coupling between channels, and a small spread in natural frequency of the array elements,4 within the locking range of the coupling scheme.
