Abstract
Many inorganic materials have been developed and studied for their photorefractive effect during the last two decades.1 However, there have been only a few studies of organic photorefractive materials.2-4 We report on synthesis and characterization of a new polymeric material that has both the photoconductivity and the electro-optic (EO) effect intrinsically. Thus, there is no need for a dopant such as a photosensitizer or a carrier transport agent. This is in contrast to the previously reported polymers for photorefractive uses that have needed dopants.3-4
