Continuously tunable monomode fiber laser

Abstract

Single-mode lasers, which are capable of being continuously wavelength tuned without mode hopping, are finding use in WDM and coherent communiention/sensor systems. Previously, only semiconductor lasers have offered continuous tuning in a compact, efficient, and integrated format.
