Abstract

Because their excellent thermal properties, fiber bundle lasers (FBL) are promising candidates for high-power solid-state lasers.1,2 The extraordinary high thermal loading capability and small thermal relaxation time allow extremely high pump energies and pulse repetition frequencies (PRF) resulting in high gain, output energy, and average power.
