Laser ranging from space for geoscience use

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Laser ranging measurements from space can address significant issues in earth and planteary geosciences. With recent electro-optic technology, laser systems can meet the difficult requirements of the space environment. Laser altimeters and ranging systems have been launched, selected or are viable candidates for several space missions.
