Abstract

Nonlinear optical polymers are interesting materials tor electro-optic switching and modulation due to their high nonlinearity and high modulation bandwidth.1 In order to be useful as active materials in integrated optical devices, the nonlinearity of these polymers must have a stability of several years at elevated operating temperatures,2,3 Side chain polymers with high glass transition temperatures Tg are promising in this respect.4
