Barium nitrate intracavity Raman laser

Abstract

Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) can be used to shift a laser frequency to a different spectral region. SRS in Ba(NO3)2 crystals has been demonstrated previously using nanosecond1 and picosecond5 excitation pulses.
