Abstract

There is no doubt that phase conjugation (PC) is the effective method to improve the coupling of a laser source with a target or with a receiver in a variety of laser technologies. That is why the search for various ways to achieve this effect attracted and attracts much attention. As a result many types of PC mirror (PCM) with acceptable reflectivity and PC fidelity have been developed for both pulsed and cw laser radiation in the wavelength range from the VUV to the far IR. The problems of how to achieve the potentials of PCM in practical laser systems arise immediately after their appearance.
