Abstract

Recently, organic polymers have been recognized as potential candidates for application in optical Kerr gate, however, resonant absorption affects the decay behavior of the Kerr response, In this paper, we present a study of the femtosecond optical Kerr effect in a resonant absorption polymer, poly (2,5-thienylene vinylene) (PTV) film.
