Abstract

At the present time, the optical parametric oscillator (OPO) with the new nonlinear crystal β-BaB2O4 (BBO) is known as an effective way to generate a high power wavelength tunable laser.1-5 In fact, the OPO is a special case of optical parametric amplification (OPA). Also OPA can be used after the OPO to get a more intense tunable laser. So it is valuable to study the BBO OPA in detail.
