Abstract

The goal of this study is to investigate the acoustic effects in Er:YAG laser lens emulsification. We studied two types of acoustic (or pressure) waves generated, during pulsed laser tissue ablation. These waves are the results of impulse-induced pressure generated through momentum coupling and the pressure generated as a result of laser-induced cavitation.
