Abstract

Recently many theoretical and experimental studies have been reported with the goal of investigating nearly degenerate four-wave mixing (FWM) or cavity-enhanced highly nondegenerate FWM in semiconductor lasers. 1-5 However the simultaneous measurement of both nearly degenerate FWM and cavity-enhanced highly nondegenerate FWM in the same semiconductor laser has not been reported yet. Such measurement would allow the comparison of the importance of both of these FWM processes. In this paper, we report the result of such a measurement.
