Abstract
Recently, many applications have required tunable high power laser in visible spectra region because of its own characteristics. The XeF* excimer molecule has both UV (B→X) and visible (C→A) transition lines. The blue-green XeF (C → A) excimer laser has been investigated in various operational modes to obtain high energy and high efficiency under the high (>6 atm) or intermediate (<3 atm) gas pressure condition by the research groups of Rice1 and AVCO.2 Furthermore, to achieve petawatt laser, ultrashort pulse (femtosecond) laser technology in XeF (C→A) excimer has been processed experimentally3 and theoretically.4 The use of low pressure gas medium is proposed for solving nonlinear problems in the ultrashort pulse amplifier.5·6
