Abstract

Semiconductor microcrystallites in glass exhibit interesting optical properties different from bulk crystals because of the quantum size effects. In this paper, the optical properties of Bi2S3 doped glass and the method of preparing Bi2S3 doped glass lumps and thin films by the sol-gel process have been researched, and some interesting results are acquired.
