Optimization and alignment of pulsed lasers by a photoacoustic method

Abstract

The amplitude of photoacoustic signals in a laser cavity decreases compared to the case in which it is inhibited (i.e., by blocking one of the mirrors), due to the competition of the stimulated emission against radiationless processes and other deactivation pathways.
