Abstract
We have developed a fully time resolved, high resolution, three dimensional tomographic imaging system for gas dynamic turbulence analysis. Historically statistical analysis of turbulence is currently being supplanted by dynamic and deterministic treatments that recognize flow structure. This shift is reflected by a movement from point measurement to higher dimensionality imaging systems. The apparatus being presented was designed to push the data acquisition bandwidth until general turbulent structures can be resolved in time and three dimensional space.
