Abstract

Doubly resonant optical parametric oscillators (DROs) are often used for cw operation because of their low threshold. However, the double resonance condition makes it difficult to tune the output frequencies continuously. Here we report on the use of a dual-cavity configuration to provide greater frequency control while maintaining the low threshold.
