Abstract

Microcavity lasers have many interesting aspects because of their short cavity length (~λ range) and large Fresnel number. Variety of spatial-temporal dynamics can be expected. There are some primary observations reported.1,2 We report here our recent study of electrically pumped vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSEL). The spatial intensity profiles of VCSEL under different pump condition were recorded and analyzed experimentally.
