Abstract

Narrow linewidth coherent light sources continuously tunable from VIS to mid-IR are very useful for spectroscopic applications. Optical parametric oscillator (OPO) using LBO crystal pumped by laser pulses at 0.532 μm can yield an output tunable from 650 nm to 2.65 μm. However, the reported operations are either limited in the tuning range1–3 or require three sets of cavity mirrors to cover the entire tuning range.4
