Abstract
BaTiO3 crystal is a photorefractive material that exhibits correspondingly large value of beam-coupling gain and four-wave mixing reflectivity, and is therefore widely used for optical information-processing applications, e.g, holographic memories and self-pumped phase-conjugate mirrors. In a number of studies, its photorefractive properties have been investigated theoretically and experimentally.
