Abstract

Wavelength-tunable filters based on acousto-optic interaction have received a lot of interest in recent years1,2 because of potential applications as wavelength-routing switches and taps in WDM networks.3 Furthermore, wavelength-tunable filters can also be used inside a laser cavity to create a fast, broadly wavelength-tunable laser.4
