Abstract

We report on an ongoing field test of interferometric current and voltage sensors. The sensors have been integrated into the gas-insulated high-voltage switch gear (GIS) of a 220-kV high-voltage switching station with a nominal current of 2000 Arms. The test is to determine the long-term performance of the sensors under field conditions with adverse environmental effects.
