Abstract

Static Fourier-transform spectrometers have previously been reported based on Wollaston prisms which produce and interferogram in the spatial domain. The interferogram can be recorded using a detector array and the Fourier transform provides an estimate of the power spectrum of the incident light1,2. We report the design of a hand-held double-Wollaston spectrometer with a significantly enhanced field of view.
