Abstract

Periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) is useful for practical implementation of quasi-phase-matched nonlinear optics. The fabrication technique of electric-field poling with lithographically-defined electrodes has been limited to substrates ≤0.5-mm thick, imposing limitations in high-power applications where large apertures are desired.
