Abstract
A novel open-resonator lowest-loss mode with uniform output amplitude distribution is produced by art intracavity Fourier transform and inhomogeneities on one of the cavity mirrors. This mode is called Fourier-mode because its amplitude distribution functions at the end mirrors are approximately Fourier transforms of each other.
