Abstract

Optical limiters based on several nonlinear optical elements in tandem have been the subject of several theoretical and experimental studies in recent years.1−3 The primary reason for such a geometry is that it exposes the nonlinear material to high fluence, hence producing a large nonlinear effect, without damage occurring to the nonlinear material. Previous experimental studies have successfully proven the principle of tandem limiting.
