Abstract

Photorefractive quantum wells can be classified into three geometries. Two of these structures have already been demonstrated: the transverse-field transmission geometry1 and the longitudinal-field transmission geometry.2 Both of these structures rely on transmission gratings and Raman-Nath diffraction from the thin quantum well films.
