Abstract
In general, it is important to know the characteristics of laser light, not at the output of the laser, but at the sample medium one has chosen to study with it. As a result, it is important to develop ultrashort-pulse-characterization methods that yield the pulse at the sample medium in apparatuses used to perform measurements of ultrafast processes in media.
